Tell me how much you love this plant. By that I mean tell me experiences of all sorts that involve the sticky green. What have you done for it? What has it done for you? Are you going to be a life long stoner?

Cannabis has helped me to meet some of the best people that have ever come into my life. It has helped me connect with the friends I already had on a completely different level. It has given me a hobby and something to be good at.
It sounds terrible to say, but I'm really good with weed. I mean, not NEARLY as good as some of you, but I consider myself quite the pro on various things about weed. I'm not so familiar with the many, many growing techniques, but I'm learning! I know lots of the science behind being high, I know lots about different kinds of smoking devices, I know how to do various extractions and cook with them. I'm learning about the different strains and origins of the plant (thank you Magash!) I could keep going, but I don't wanna write a big paragraph.
All in all, herb is one of the number one things in my life. Obviously family and friends come first. I count my dog in as a family and a friend, as well as my other pets...but ganja is a number 3. Or, number 2 if I combine friends and family, kinda the same.
Its such a shame, because legally, I'm a criminal for all that I do with weed. I'm not fucking up the economy (see: selling drugs) I'm not handing it out to school children. I'm not driving around intoxicated. I'm keeping it for myself and my close friends...and its something I'm damn good at.
Fucking law.

I also love cannabis 
For a few reasons:
1) it relax me
2) makes me sleep like a baby and can enhance my dreams
3) makes me more creative
4) makes me lol at the primitiveness of most people hence not get bothered when they intimidate me
5) the whole anti-cancer thing is the icing on the cake!

Weed is a fantastic thing. It's not only used worldwide, its been used since ancient times which makes it so much more great. I'm mostly Cherokee, so I find it as a decent way to connect with my ancestry. It opens my mind to things, like seeing through how judgemental my family can be. I've found myself by using it. It's put me through hell with some brutal existential panic attacks and also lifted me up so high I never wanted it to end. It is truly a wonderful plant.

I haven't always liked MJ. I used to sell it for a mexican cartel, even though I am a straight up white boy, and rarely smoked it (X and coke were my choice of drugs then). I live in the midwest and I used to pick it up in Tuscon and drive it back to here. I would mule and sell 40 lbs. a month, until a 3 lb deal got me shot in the back, in March of 2005. I died on the way to the hospital, only to be revived in the ER. I have endured almost 40 surgeries to keep me alive and breathing.
I just started enjoying bud in June of 2009. I love MJ now because my spirit and psyche are completely removed from where I was then. I am more liberated and open to the eternal aspects of life. As a result of my short time of death, I experienced GOD/Jesus. It was incredible and life-changing in every way. I am a Christian who uses MJ occasionally to separate my conscience/fleshly being from my spiritual being so I can experience a new and different level of eternal contemplation.
Sorry for the rambling, but this post incited my thoughts to stream on bud and what it does for me.

I'm like Ras I'm really good with weed and all it's different aspects all my friends and people close to me say that if I worked as hard in college and had as much knowledge as I do on weed/growing/chemistry/biology I could keep and easy 4.0 the entire way through.
And I really have to much to write about when it comes to weed, it's part of mine and my friends lives. Like it isn't the main focus like it is for some people because its just part of it (if that makes any sense to people). We (friends) are an adventurous group so we're always taking trips together going places doin thangs exploring inventing crazy things with crazy people always. I got lucky and have made a few life long friends at a pretty young age and I would credit it to weed. And weed has also been apart of the life long memories and crazy things
we've done and it will undoubtedly be in the many more to come.
Wow I could keep going but I'ma stop now.

It makes me happy, it's good for me, it relaxes my mind and tummy, it inspires my creativity, it is a green goddess of love. It has helped me make beautiful friends and be more open minded and peaceful.

I love weed because it has been with me since about march 2010 and helped me through a rough time with some evil women. I draw and sculpt when im high, I play instruments and solve differential equations with ease when i'm high. I also love to run but when i run my appetite goes to shit and i lose weight until i have to stop running, thanks to THC-induced muchies i can run continuously without worrying about losing too much weight. I also just love the relaxation and deep restful sleep associated with weed. As soon as I graduate I want to get a job in CO or northern CA to the weed mecha. I, like RasJeph, am really good and knowledgeable when it comes to weed, and I love the people that are involved in this culture, my current gf is a newly-crowned stoner chick and I love her to death. My life is awesome thanks to weed

I agree 100%.
I'll be the first to admit I probably don't know every scientific fact about cannabis. I know some, but not all. I do know it makes me hungry, settles my stomach when it's messed up, helps me get to sleep better(even though i still wake up every fucking hour  ), and generally puts me in a good mood, and helps with focus sometimes, doesn't cause physical dependence, and is relatively cheap, and that outweighs the damage it does to your body, which is relatively little compared to it's benefits imo.
And demonizing other drugs when they hear the name is ridiculous. I believe every drug can be used recreationally, once in a while type things. It comes down to the person and their mindset in my humble opinion. I mean, I've done heroin a couple times and I though it was great myself, except for the puking that time I didn't turn into a daily addict though, and I have a friend who's the same way. He's got a couple drugs he does recreationally, but it's not like a "I gotta have it" type thing. He might do a line of coke once in a blue moon, or a line of heroin once in a blue moon, but he won't do it again for 6 months and he's been that way for a LONG time. Know what I mean? I think it comes down to the person. And furthermore, I think heroin could be used for a medical purpose, I mean OC's are the same fuckin thing imo. Heroin used to be used in the medical field I think actually, until the world went to shit. The problem is, once again in my humble opinion, that not everybody can handle drugs. Most people WILL turn into addicts. Not everyone has the mindset to say, "Ok, I can't do this shit everyday, it'll fuck my life up." And that goes for cocaine, heroin, fuckin crack, speed, whatever. Just my humble opinion once again. I probably sounded like a junkie in this post, but I promise ya'll I'm not. I don't do heroin, coke or anything besides weed. A beer or two ONCE in a while, and that's rare. Used to get fucked up in my teenage years though

yeah, that makes a lot of sense. I'd agree with that and you don't sound (that much) like a junkie. You're right on in saying not everyone can handle drugs. Psychedelics certainly aren't for everyone, neither is pot. They are for most people i associate with however. another thing that irks me about all this is that I have to really try hard to convince some people that it's their own right to put whatever they want into their body. They always cite societal harms and devastated families and what not. idk, im just going to stop now before i extend that rant.
