My friend and I did a quick little collaboration
And here's a photo I took last night; take it as a representation of a robot in the depths of sleep paralysis, going through it's mind would be "destruction by his own creator".
All done in one shot, took a lot of tweaking.

Loving the direction, ninja cat.
I think something you should experiment with is having a specific direction in mind the entire time working on an abstract piece like that. The composition is very chaotic, and i think if you put something fluid to your mind's workflow, it would become a very interesting composition. Start with something that will guide, and influence the rest of the piece--- that little island thing with the tree, you can use that, and give the shape of the things above it a representative look of leaves, or light, or something eminating from that subject, and use that direction that you've established to curve the rest of the mood of the parts that come afterwards. Like an ecosystem, breeding from one small part.
Sorry bout the rant lol. Just something i tend to do though, i have a short attention span, and i end up paying attention to the shapes i draw as things that grow, and are dynamic, based on what i can add around them. Use shapes to define shapes. But don't take this as a forceful suggestion, just something to maybe keep in mind for the future of your style.

I like you're idea, it would have been a more "uniform" drawing, but I saw a shroomerite's work (someone with 2-3 drawings in his sig, I can't remember who) and tried to incorporate the style.

I made this today, excuse the glitch at the end of it, I forgot to trim off some frames.
Just playing around, didn't take very long. I might make a bunch of these.
