Digital timers are nice but they don't last 1/4 as long as the typical peg timer.
 These look good and are nice while they work but they pretty much suck.

i always wondered about those grow bags. since they dont drain how hard is it to maintain the root systems? id imagine it would be really easy to rot them.
ive been considering them for my next big project due to cost and efficiency but am worrying about the roots alot..kinda scared to commit.

Thank Magash thats good info to know.
Pericious, the bags do have drain holes. They are punched in. However they are up on the side just a little. So the bottom inch could hold water. I have not had a problem with root rot.

Uh oh! Hey Magash, new to the growing world and Growery. I went out and got 2 of those same digital timers. Currently they are running both of my lights and 2/3 of my water pumps. How long do they last usually before they crap out? It's my first grow, and hopefully I won't have to worry about my timers going out before it's over. I have 1 mechanical timer that is running one of my water pumps.
What brand of mechanical timer is it that you prefer? I'm always being OCD and trying to find ways to improve the setup.

My last mechanical timer almost caught on fire and it wasn't even being run anywhere near the power it was rated for...I've been really careful with these and have started only using the most durable ones I can find. I'll never use a digital timer after that close call  Thing was brand new too.

Yes a smell is going down the hall when vent fan is not running.
It was a digital timer I had problems with. Upon futher inspection found the plug going to the light(1000 watt) to have burn marks on it.
I feel Lucky..
Gives me idea for thread in clut.

This hot spell we been having is causing problems with the plants.
Heat stress I believe. Look at the bud shot.Thats not a hair turning red. Its turning brown. The a/c is drying everything out from running all the time. Just have to give it more water, more often.
Got some Silica Blast made by Botanicare. Hope this helps.
Will never try flowering plants at this time of year again.
Other than the heat, things be good.

Putting buckets of water in the room can help add some moisture in the air, or a humidifier. Also place fans pointing from the bottom up over the plants because the coolest air will be on the bottom. And maybe try misting them once or so a day.
Without adding some a/c unit or something of the like I don't know what else to really say.
Edit: It might be time to flush too.

I do have a small a/c. Seems to be running most of the time during the day.
At night when the lights come on conopy temp is around 85f.
Only been a few days sence the Silica Blast was added.
Also doudle up on water.
The room looks better tonight but will wait to Sunday to make a call on it.

30 days into flowering.Half way thur flowering.
I'll be so glad to be done with this grow. Fuck this heat. Costing more to run the a/c than the lights.
On the hand it does look like there will some good bud out of this.
