 random plant **Now With Harvest Pics!!**

so this little girl popped up several weeks ago, shortly before i harvested my outdoor crop. my only guess is that a branch or two of my outdoor crop hermied and dropped a seed, but i really can't be sure. i do know that no one deliberately planted her. there is also another little one that sprouted near to this one (you can see it in the first pic but i moved that one inside to see what will happen).
this picture is from the 17th of October. still fairly small, barely peaking over the edging around the outdoor garden:
this is her now, as of the 29th of October. she has tripled in size in a little over a week:
she is still in veg as far as i can tell from looking at her node spacing and is just now showing sex.
i'm wondering if it is possible for her to veg through the winter (even though the days are getting shorter and shorter) since the season is basically over but she has not even begun to flower yet. should i just let her do her thing and see what happens?
i guess it's a big of an experiment.

we shall see, eh? it's been warm enough during the days, but getting nippy at night; it's even a bit chilly right now. i do remember reading something about covering it at night to keep it warmer if it does get too cold, but i'm not sure what i would cover it with.
i'll try and keep this updated, although i can be very forgetful at times. the stalk on this thing is bigger than a regular sized bic lighter. i wanted to dig it up and move it inside, veg till spring then put in back in the ground, but i don't have anywhere to put it inside.

Man I wish I could do some outdoor growing. I just got back from a friends in southern oregon to help him with harvest. I loved being around 7-8 foot tall plants. I'll get some pics up if I can, there weren't too many of em left by the time I got there.

thanks. i'm definitely still a novice grower, but i'm learning as i go.
i think i've figured out what strain it is as well. i had 2 different strains going out there: Matanuska Valley Thunderfuck (Alaskan Thunderfuck) and DJ Short Blueberry. i'm fairly certain this is the former, even though the ATF was harvested months and months ago, i think i t may have dropped a seed and it's just not fruiting as i found no seeds in the Blueberries. plus she just doesn't look like the Blueberries did, and absolutely loves the colder weather we've been having.

If it has coverage from the dew in the mornings, I think it has a good chance of making it. Although I'm not sure of your climate, it would survive my winters if protected from the dew on the coldest mornings. I've done it with other plants like peppers.

it's a yard waste bin. it normally lives over by the fence, but for some reason it was there with a chair on top of it. i moved the chair, but the bin was fun and very heavy.
it give you a little sizer perspective as well. that bin is about 4.5" tall.

because they breed like rabbits.
don't worry, i don't eat them, i just go out and trip or smoke with them.
as of now there are only 20 total. all adults, and i'm pretty sure i've separated all the males from the females so i won't be having to go out there and find drowned baby bunnies all over the place like i did a few years ago when they decided they all wanted to breed in the middle of winter.
at one point i had 68 rabbits in total.

i took advantage of more sun today and got the shed painted. will take pictures tomorrow - weather permitting. it looks nice. gonna have to redo the trim 'cos there were a couple of boo-boo's made by my dad and my friend.
next up, fix and paint the door then finish up the interior in the flower room.
it's coming to close to completion .. EXCITED!

better that than loose the whole plant, just wish she could have densed up a bit more but with the lack of sun we've been having i don't think it was going to happen anyway.

bud rot was already starting to happen and with this whole next week supposed to be pissing down rain and cold and windy, it was definitely time to pull her. there was no way she was going to make it all the way through the heart of winter, not with it getting down to 34F and being wet all the time. i really would have liked to let her sit for another week at least, but it was either harvest or risk losing the entire plant.

i would have loved to do that, except it's been raining on and off (more on than off) for the past 3 1/2 weeks. that combined with very little direct sunlight and temps in the low 30's is just not good.

i'm really excited to be getting a second harvest off this baby. she got some frostbite because it was super cold for a few weeks during the middle of winter (after the first harvest) but she doesn't seem to mind.

i know, it's so fucking cool.
this plant is going to save my life because i'm completely out of anything decent to smoke. from her trichromes i'd guess she's got about a week and a half to go; i've got a decent amount of cloudy trichs and just a few clear ones - she's almost ready!!
i want to dance around. i haven't done anything special to her since the first harvest beside water and a tiny bit of big bloom for a couple of weeks, she's only been getting water for the past month though.
