Anyone know some fun shenanigans to kill an afternoon?
Recently I've found the wonders of the "Drano Bomb"...its not really a "bomb" bomb, but I don't know what else you'd call it.
Heres how it goes:
Lye (100% or otherwise, it doesn't matter in this case since you're not ingesting it after)
Aluminum foil
Water
Plastic bottle with screw on cap
Crumple up some aluminum foil and put it in your bottle. Make sure theres no water in the bottle (a few drops in an empty one won't hurt) and pour in a little bit of lye. It'll take some play to figure out what amount provides the boom you want. Then, pour in the water. Quickly cap it off, and toss it away from you.
Enjoy watching the bottle swell up to huge proportions, and then - BOOM.
(mostly) harmless fun. This isn't my video, but I might make one later:
Post any other shenanigans that are fun but relatively harmless if you know any :]

I guess if you catch the vapors from this stuff in a balloon, and then figure out a good way to burn the balloon (a string covered in gas lit on fire?) you can get a really awesome fireball.
And, if you bubble the stuff through water some how, the balloon will even float. I'm working on figuring that out right now. Anyone have ideas for some kind of ghetto rigged dome percolator?

we used to make these by the thousands when i was a young lad
except we used a drain cleaner called "The Works"
so we called them Works Bombs

Cut a hole in the top of the cap and inset a tube.
Then take another bottle, and put two holes in the cap.
Take the tube that's attatched to the first cap, and put it inside one of the holes, far enough down that it'll be under water.
Then, put another tube in the other hole in can no. 2. That tube will be used to fill the balloon.
Make sure you seal the tubes where they come out of the caps, so no gas is lost in the process...

Nah. I mean, I guess you could get hit by the cap of the bottle if it blew off, but thats about it. That, or inhaling the vapors I guess.

heres a fun one.
get a two liter coke bottle, fill it about 1/4 of the way with muriatic acid, then get a bunch of tin foil and roll it into about 10 tin foil loolesly rolled joint lookin things. Stuff them in as fast as you can, and immediately screw the cap on and haul ass! It's gonna take about 2-3 minutes to blow, but if you shake it up real good you can get it to happen in under a minute. Make sure u don't breathe in the fumes, its extremely toxic, and the stuff will be boiling hot acid, so don't get any on ur skin either. BIG ASS explosion tho! and fuckin fun!
another one is to get like 2 or 3 boxes of strike anywhere matches, cut all of the match heads off and collect them in like a cup or whatever u wanna collect them in. Once you've got about 400-600 match tips, cut a slit into a tennis ball and completely fill it up with the match heads. Throw it as high as u can, and make sure ur not to close. When it hits the ground there will be a NICE fireball/explosion, not to lethal, but enough to really scare the shit out of someone, really cool to watch too.

get an old bucket or something that you aren't going to use anymore, and fill it up about a quarter of the way. Take styrafoam and keep stuffing it in and mixing, the gasoline will eat away at it and eventually u will have a thick, extremely sticky and extremely flammable substance, very similar to napalm. You can light it on fire and burn through just about anything, light a ball of it on fire and throw it at something, its really cool stuff. Good way to burn someones house down, just throw a ball on the roof, it will burn through in no time at all

OOOOh i just remembered another reaaaallly cool one. Get a couple packs of steel wool. Get a flexible wire of some sort, a cable or something that is bendy like a string, but wont burn through. Make a huge ball of the steel wool, and tie it together using a wire or something metal, then secure you're flexible wire or cable to it. Get someone to light it on fire and spin it around in a circle as fast as you can, it will be like the CRAZIEST sparkler you've ever seen, sparks up to 20 feet high! it also works reaaaly good if you do it and then hold it out a car window, you don't have to spin it this way, but if you do then its just an absolutely amazing site.
Shit another really easy one is to get like 4 or5 boxes of sparklers, tape them all together reaaaally tight and leave one sticking out about and extra inch. LIght the one thats sticking out and stick them into the ground, or you can just set them on the ground. Get back like 20-30 feet cuz sometimes these explode, and sometimes they are just a reeeeeeeeeaallly big sparkling fireball, its wayy more than u'd expect from some sparklers.

This works great for setting fields of tall grass on fire.

anyone ever made a potato gun???. u make it outta pvc and put hair spray in as a fuel .. using a gas grill ignitor to ignite it.. it will shoot potatoes like 100 yards easy.. be easy with the hair spray i have blown the piping up.. there fun.. if ya got some potatoes.. or anything like it

Poor mans firecracker (not the edible kind)
Get a bucket and pour in enough petrol to cover the base by about an inch, and keep throwing in Styrofoam until you have a thick gooey mixture, mixing it as you go (it will probably end up being about 10:1 styrofoam to petrol)
Buy as many sparklers as you can, we got about 100 packets and they had 50 in each packet. Bend and twist the wire so all the sparkler shit comes off and then mix it with the goo.
Throw that shit in a 600ml bottle, cut a hole in the lid and use an undamaged sparkler as a fuse. Light it and run

.. I got a few friends like him.. a couple years back we had a 4 of july party.. we were shooting those big fireworks that u drop in a tube and light the fuse and they go way up and make a big boom.. i had been shooting them, one of my buddies wanted to light one.. we were all drunk it was dark.. it dawn on me as he was lighting it and we were all stainding around talking that he had put it in upside down.. i yelled run.. that thing exploded and that tube and flames went everywhere .. that was the grand finalalie ..i'm just glad we all ran and got away.. that couldda been bad/
