Yeah it's nostalgic. I've had a lot of handpipes over the years and bubblers and what not but that thing was my first bong/homemade pipe ever. I think I made it when I was 14, I didn't even smoke that much back then just occasional but I would love to get high and make smoking devices.
Originally it had a carb but then I decided to put a proper slide and glass bowl into it and it works as good as any other bong, well minus something like a percolator. It gives massive hits that's for sure. I can't see spending as much as some people do on bongs. I mean with a glass on glass bowl and slide it doesn't matter much what the body is made out of. Plus it added durability, the bong has been dropped many times and would've been broke by now had it been made of glass.

1. Buy roll of fine mesh metal screen.
2..Buy scissors.
3. Cut your own screens for a clean screen anytime for 7-10 seconds of your time.

Next time someone goes to clean it I'm going to just tell them I'm the only one that's allowed to take the screen out.
I hate when pipes are dirty. It taints the taste of the weed. I know people who smoke their pipes until they are so caked full of "resin aka tar" that they stop working and need to be scraped just to smoke. I myself if using a pipe frequently need to clean it at least once a week or I find it's gross. I don't like harsh smoke and I don't like to cough up a lung.
You can get glass screens that are a blob of glass shaped to sit inside your pipe and allow smoke through but stop your bud from falling through. I think they make cleaning your bowl much easier, but I find morons tend to drop them too often.

If you dropped MY glass screen, and we were sitting around for 15minutes trying to find it I'd probably call you a moron. The ones I get have a fairly long shoot of glass that sits inside the hole in the bowl which tends to break when dropped.

Yea I hate a dirty bowl, I clean mine after every half 8th I smoke out of it. I also rinse out my bubbler out after every bowl I smoke.
It's really nasty smoking with some of my friends that smoke a lot of brick weed, there bowl just smells like shit and I refuse to smoke out of it, especially if its a bong. Also I never use screens, the metal just ruins the taste for me. I guess I'm kind of a weed snob but I don't smoke a lot of weed so I like to get as much out of it as I can when I do...

Well, people are people and shit gets dropped, but I can bet your ass I wouldn't lose it so long as it didn't fall into some impossible crevice. My vision is very good I'd see it pretty easily. It all depends where your smoking I guess. I would always forget it was in the bowl, put the bowl in my pocket, then wash my pants and voila, that shit's gone. I mean, does shit like that make me a moron? I'm usually higher than the "average" pothead and tend to drop a thing or two from time to time.
Not debating, I'm just high as a fucking Georgia Pine right now.

I suppose it doesn't make you a moron. I'd still be pissed and call you a moron if you dropped my glass screen though, especially if it was in use. I also usually smoke on a deck/patio/garage so they sometimes get lost indefinitely. I'm just sick of losing those fucking glass screens and having to replace them.

I smoke mainly schwag, I don't really care if my pipe is dirty.
My metal pipe is going on about 2 years of not being thoroughly cleaned. That's what I like about my metal pipe, I never have to clean it.
Also everyone saying to smoke out of glass, the closest head shop in at least an hour away. And my only source of income for the last two years has been my student aid from grants and shit, so I'm not exactly in a position to go out and buy a new pipe.
So my metal pipe is my friend, you can did it all you like but to me my metal pipe tastes just as good as any glass. And since 99.99% of the time I'm smoking alone in my room while on xbox/the computer/ watching tv I only take a hit and put it back down. So it doesn't get hot.

Boondock, saying your not cleaned in 2 year metal pipe that schwagg is smoked in tastes as good as any clean pipe yet alone glass is crazy talk. Although glass doesn't taste any better than metal pipes if they're not clean. You can for sure taste the metal when smoking metal pipes.

Well I for one can not.Most of my friends use glass, and the only thing I notice from their pipes are that there is a carb. I also have a 18''-2' bong.
