Now this I agree with. It's deffinitely time for mankind to be tossed on his ass and woken up. Wether this may or may not happen in 2012 is irrelivant to me.

I couldnt disagree more. Things are better now than they have ever been (on average), and they are getting better and better every year. Things have been getting better like this for tens of thousands of years so I dont expect it to end anytime soon.

I say if anything happens its going to be because humans want something to happen. Some extremist group is going to blow a hole in something and say "look 2012 happend, told you so".

Well, youre the one advocating a 'cleansing' which to me screams of a negative hateful outlook at best and genocidal murder at worst. Thats certainly not something I would expect from somebody who is optimistic about humanity.

So because I would like to see great change come to humanity you view

Wow, anyone else what to chime in on this one because I am almost at a loss
for words in regards to that statement LOL.
Humanity will most likely be the one to usher in great change and yes I
remain optimistic that we can achieve this. Either that or we are going to
blow each other to hell or mother earth will take care it. If we continue to
stay the course we are in for some serious trouble.

Its not my fault you choose to view it in that way. I mean its pretty
clear we are not talking about an "ethnic cleansing" or anything negative
that you can think of to throw in with it.
