If both teams are healthy, I pick the Lakers. Bynum/ Gasol is still better than Bosh/ Haslem
Kobe is still better than LBJ and Wade.
Plus Kobe has a more complete team and a better coach. Phil Jackson vs. Erik Spolastra? No way.

The Heat are probably a team I would avoid betting on seeing as how much I hate LeBron James right now. I dont even pick them to win the ECF's. Hmm,
NFL- I think Oakland Raiders will be much better now with a decent QB. They still have a stud defense, some talented WR's and Darren McFadden. Plus playing in the NFC West is a huge advantage. No clear favorite in that division.
Raven's. Dont know how much of a sleeper they are but they could very well win the Superbowl. Sickest defense in the NFL, Flacco more experienced, adding Anquan Boldin and Daunte Stallworth. Nasty.
I like my Cowboys to win the NFC this year. Them or the Saints. In the AFC I have Colts or Ravens.

NBA is interesting because I dont ever really see sleepers in this sport.
I think out West you are going to end up with Lakers, Mavericks, Trail Blazers (sleeper team if there is one), Thunder, and Suns as you better teams
East; the same typical; Boston, Orlando, Heat, Bulls, Orlando, and maybe throw 76'ers or Knicks in as a wildcard.

I agree. Billions of dollars every year in ticket sales, merchandise and whatever the fuck else they want pretty much. Good point about Eli. They had a good all around team the year they won the Super Bowl. I don't think he's a "bad" qb, but I do think his status might have been a little over inflated since then. He's nowhere near his brother, by any means. He's younger and all, but Peyton has like a feeling for that shit I don't think Eli has.

Rams offensive line was so sad watching the vikings kick them the other night. They could not pick up on the blitz for nothing but it is also preseason so who knows. Seen teams do bad in pre then come out being contenders in the post. If their offensive line does not do better Bradford better learn to run really fast and ditch the ball.

The starters only play like 2 series in preseason. The first two games anyway. They might play a little bit more in the last couple games. It's essentially two different teams from pre season to regular season.

True. I think the biggest difference which is obvious is, that they play for 2 different teams
The Colts are known for passing and throwing out of the shotgun.
The Giants are known for pounding the football and running majority of the time.
Majority of your "top" QB's play on spread offenses; Dallas, NE, Colts, Green Bay, Saints... ect.
I do agree that Eli isnt quite as good as his brother though. That Superbowl was a fluke.

I do think you have to run the ball to be successful, but if you don't spread out the defense but running the spread offense, you're going nowhere. It has to be a successful mixture of the two I think. I'm gonna keep my eye on New England this year though, for some reason, I think they're about ready to blow up unless someone gets hurt. Brady's playing for a contract (that he knows he'll get), but he's gonna try to get a HUGE contract I think. If he has a sick year, it might very well be the largest contract ever signed by a qb I think, maybe any player for that matter.

games are won and loss on the offensive and defensive lines bud. Tennessee has THE best O-line in the league and one of the best D-lines. Their defense is up there with the Ravens.

Yeah, it's funny cuz I actually thought to myself about him having a higher set before I called I really put him on AK or K10 and if he had a higher set he had a higher set. I have a poker book Doyle Brunson wrote called Super System (very reputable book, check into it) and he said whenever you flop a set you gotta roll with it and you basically just gotta pay the guy off if he's got a higher set....so I guess I was right in losing money there. That's a first Didn't lose much, but just enough to piss me off. No more pokerz tonight. I will sleep now, well in about 3 hours cuz I'm a non sleepin muafucker, but whatever

I don't follow it like most people do, but from the sounds of it, he's just done doing training camps.
I didn't even watch the vikings the other night, like FBD says, 2 different teams.

I am just sick of Farve holding out like he does. I am also scared that if he does not come back and our next QB is no good then we will run AP too much and he will get hurt by postseason which the vikes have a habit of doing.
I was wondering if anyone in that roast was going to bring up the fact about Hulks new girlfriend look alot like his daughter. And I loved Lisa Lampenelli joke about you can hear a pair of 19 year old balls bouncing off of his ex-wife's chin. It was one of the better roast they have had in awhile.

I think in the end it comes down to his ego and money. He isnt going to leave 20 million bucks sitting on the table.
