Hi there, many of you may already be aware of what I have been so busy doing lately but if you don't I'll have to fill you in shortly.
Me and Lucid have been putting everything we have into this outdoor grow. We both sacrificed having smoke for a few months so that we could use our grow rooms to veg plants until they were sexually mature before planting outside. Well we ended up vegging for 2-3 months and everything has worked out well for us. Very good weather and conditions this year, not to mention we busted our asses more than any past year to complete plot preparations. Pfew I'm out of shape!
I'll be brief for now, I just want to get the journal started. Hopefully I have enough motivation to go back and edit the main post so that this turns into a proper grow journal. I have plenty of time 
Each picture is a separate plant, they've been outside 4+ weeks and have 100 more days of veg before they flower. Muahhahah. I'm tired from digging so damn much lately.
I'll start with the small plants... Clones of Bubba Kush x Super Skunk and Hindu x Master Kush
And now the big ones. Aurora Indica, AK-48, and a very large BK x SS clone. Over 2 feet already. (first picture...)
G13 Haze x Mango
Dug a 3'x3'x2' deep hole for ONE plant. Hauling and mixing the rest of that hole tomorrow.
P.S.- I have 40 seedlings to transplant, and 30 germinated seeds to put into soil...

Wow thanks for all the awesome replies!!! That's the type of reaction I was going for this time around.
Staying safe is my top priority. All plots were carefully chosen and none have more than 5 plants, and even then they are scattered and blend into surroundings. I live in a rural farm area and I drive an additional 15-20 miles to get to my plots which are in the middle of nowhere. I've used some of the plots multiple years and have never had any issues, animals or human. I do a lot of planning before I start digging holes...
2 more clones went in the ground tonight, and tomorrow I'm putting out a FIM'd G13 Haze x Mango and a "freebie" that was the fattest Indica in the bunch, all fem's. The ~30 seedlings were struggling and stretching with only occasional sunlight so I booted up my veg box and stuck them all under 100 watts of CFL's. I also took 4 bushy ass clones and transplanted them and put them in my Flower Cab under the 150w and 150 watts of CFL's. I'm vegging for a week then flowering them. No scrog this time around.

I have a feeling I will probably disappear for a while hehe. Thank you spencer, we really have been busting ass. 10 more holes were dug today, but these only needed to be ~20 gallons because the plants going in them won't be as large. We have 30 more to dig throughout the next couple of weeks, and hopefully by that time all of my seedlings will be large enough to handle the transplant with ease.

Gracias amigo! Yeah I wanted to wait until I had a day where I visited all of my plots, because I rarely have the opportunity or need to visit all of them and get pictures. It was nice to be able to see every plant in one day, it really gave me a scale of things to come. It's funny looking at the corn fields and soybean fields nearby and I usually plant AFTER the farmers and I usually only veg indoors for a couple weeks before I put them out. This year I have fully grown plants in the ground for a month before the farmers even planted. These next 3 months of Veg are going to crawl by...  At least I still have a month of labor left before I can finally sit back, water/feed every week, and watch the colas form.

Actually that sounds like a pretty good idea. I'll have to set up some rules like you have to guess in increments of 10 Grams, for example as a rough early season guess, and without doing all the math and shit, I'll just throw out 6,120 Grams...

Man, I just looked at the pics again...jeez, those plants are beautiful. I love the one purple leaf on the G13xMango. What causes that by the way? I mean just one leaf to be purple? Any particular reason?

It will probably take a week, but that's cool because the first branches trimmed will be ready for testing by then. We just filled 10 more holes tonight w/ soil, so they are ready for plants. Only 25-30 more to dig. Keep in mind all of the seedlings going out will sex in their holes so if we discover males we will just rip em out and put a replacement in...

I'm thinking with the 15 plants that are out now we will get around a pound a piece. But I dunno neither of us have experience with growing plants this huge, just what we have read. And ive read some grows where people are getting 5+ pounds a plant from plants the size of what I expect our 15 plants to look like. so is a pound a plant a low estimate? The most ive got from one plant before was 6 ounces so getting 16 just seems crazy to me so I dunno. I'm all high on some kush buggin out thinking about it.

since they are so big already and you put good soil. not sure where you live but those things prob wont even start flowering for a couple months+. I would imagine them gaining a few more feet buy then, depends on strain but they will prob be 5feet or six then start the flower stretch! so some of those i bet you will be over a Lb very easily man. prob 1.5 2 range, but i am talking out my ass, just buy my figuring. have to wait and see!!!!

We have 75 days left of veg approximately... Half of our plants will be around 8 months old when they are harvested. I'd say at least the first 15 could ALL break an elbow. Each day is crawling, we have a FULL day of hard labor ahead of us today. We have really put a lot of hours into this, but you get out what you put into it and this is by far the hardest I've ever worked on plots.

Every single plant picture is a separate plant, except the obvious group shots and 1 or 2 of the cool angle shots are repeats but the rest are all individuals.

We went to fill the giant grave size hole today with some more soil and perlite. So we look at our other plot and our plants finally have started to show extreme growth! Now remember the time lapse between the first set of pictures in the thread, and these pictures is 6 days, that's 6 days of growth! and we have 75 DAYS OF VEG LEFT! Not to mention whatever crazy growth happens in flowering... Its like always been a dream of mine to go this big. Ever since our first outdoor grow when our 7 foot tall hubba bubba plant got stolen 5 weeks into flowering!!! Anyway, We're Rich Biach! Honk! Honk!

Nah that's me. I shaved my hair off recently...
Yeah we did some 4x4 with the tractor. Was pretty awesome, except when we got stuck and I had to push.
This is going to be nice when we can finally sit back and relax in a month.

Ya I'm on methadone and ive been decreasing my dose every week counting down to my drop off point in 5 weeks after 2 years on it. Part of getting sober is getting your endorphin production going again, and exercise releases them so I always feel like shit in the morning then inverted comes over and we go do some work. Then I feel like im reborn from that high you get from exercise, its like my brain has not felt endorphins in a long time and its like smiling. Its good to feel happy again, too bad I have to fight though some killer depression in like 5 weeks, hoping thinking of my plants will get me though it!

hahaha ohh but of course....im quite jelious bro  i would love to do a nice plot that big....of couse i might. just not yet i have to get some property up past the redwoods..currently any outdoor plant i do are restricted to pots or bed  Damn Gofers pull the plants down in there holes...pisses me off so bad i have to get the shotgun and start throwin shells down there

Finally got around to getting these out of the seedling trays and into keg cups. I was out of cups, and too busy taking care of my other beauties and waiting out shitty weather. They aren't a high priority as they are just bonus basically, but given the nice ass holes we prepared for them, with tons of perlite, they are going to get a couple ounces per plant.
Still have 14 to transplant tomorrow, plus I'm taking 20-30 clones from my indoor run when I clear out the undergrowth tomorrow, and we are going to toss those out when they root too.

Amazing You got so much popping up everywhere. Your really good at all this. I am trying to just get the feel of growing so im going to just start with 1 plant to learn more as I grow and ask questions I got 2 23 watt 2700k cfl's and 3 15 watt 6500k Thats should be good for 1 plant yea?

Thanks, it comes with experience. It's not as easy to take care of large numbers as most people think going into this hobby.
That's probably a good plan, but if you can, I would go out and look for at least 3 30w CFL's to replace those 15 watters, it will make a HUGE difference.
Yep, that's about the minimum but just get them arranged for the best coverage and keep them 2-3 inches away and you should be fine. Just keep reading those CFL journals and check out "Harry's CFL ladies" thread. Search for it, he didn't use a ton of light and still got a few ounces of great herb.

Awesome Thank you Inverted. Ok see I would of had some higher wattage 6500k and 2700k but I went to home depot and These low wattage ones were the only ones that actually said 6500k and 2700k on the box. Is there something else I can look for instead of 6500k and 2700k on the boxes.
And when I decide to break into flowering should I put all the lights on the plant like leave the 6500k's going and just add the 2700k to the mix?

Yes, soft white are for flowering (2700-3000k) Cool blue are for Veg, but you don't even need to get veg lights, I use soft white for everything and have bushy plants when I used to veg with CFL's. And if you do, run everything for flowering, you'll need all the light you can get. Good luck!

Ahh OK well I guess I will just put all the lights on it for veg and flowering ill just change to 12-12 from 20 days to a month.
But I still cant start I don't know where to get some good nutrients for the plant. And I really need to know when to feed the plants these nutrients. What kind of water do I use to water them. And how to keep a adjusted PH.

Thank you, they have begun sexing already, only a couple but I'm sure the others won't be far behind. Generally they show up after about 4-6 weeks after germination, if grown correctly. I have a very good eye for preflowers as I have been spotting hundreds of them for years. I have had plants show me a false preflower before and I am really uncertain as to why that would happen but it has. I have only taken clones from flowering plants so that I could be certain they were solid fems, and had no problems at all with it and it even caused me to get many tops as you can see with my 250w run.
We are finally getting some sun! It has been a couple weeks of nearly solid overcast or rainy days, and the forecast is pretty stable for a week so maybe we'll finally see some new growth and make an update.

awesome, thanks for that info. i'm asking cause i have a bunch of vegging seedlings right now i was hoping to transplant outside within 3 weeks (first gro! )
they're all between 2~3 weeks old, and i wanted to transplant only females once they reached sexual maturity

some old bag seed i had laying around, from the looks of it i might have some indicas and sativas

Ok guys, Massively amazing update coming. We just checked the plants and after some giving some nutes recently and finally getting some consecutive days of sun our plants have taken off rocket ship status. HUGE HUGE!!! Pics should be up within the next few hours. Prepare to salivate.

Here's the first plot (10 plants), and the first one is our supercropping experiment which seems to be working extremely well. We basically supercropped the 4 main branches, and then every secondary branch coming off of those... It's about 2 feet tall and a straight bushy ball. It's Hindu x Master Kush The rest at this plot are all clones of the Magash test strain (SS x BK) except one freebie from I don't know which seed bank but it smells like skunk and looks to be a heavy Indica. The second plot has grown immensely as well. Just wait for the July sun...  I left a space in between plots for your reference, which has 3x Aurora Indica, 1x Purple Skunk magash pheno clone, and 1x AK-48 (the 6+ footer I'm standing behind).
Edit: We topped all of our plants as well this visit, as well as a massive feeding of FloraNova Grow. Stay tuned 
         2nd Plot Grave Hole (huge improvement, at least 3x the size) --->  Now the rest

Why thank you good sir, plus the july sun will bush them out a lot, the overcast plague we had stretched them out real good, but IMO that only allows even more sun into the depths of the bush and more room between each node for the buds to grow. I have to try to see a silver lining in it somehow...

Plants look great guys. They're really taking off. Keep up the good work and a rediculous harvest is sure to follow. Cant want till they start blooming in a couple of months and they just blow up. You should do a pole on how tall people thing the tallest girl will get in flower.

A post from you means a lot! They finally hit that point, where me and lucid don't know what to say except "it's happening"... I think it has to do with the root system really getting established, longer days (technically shorter from now on), and large doses of nutrients. I can't even fathom what they will look like after another 1-2 months of veg, plus the flowering stretch...

Outdoor plants with good genetics grown out to potential is just an amazing sight to see. You guy's are doing a great fucking job, and I can't wait to see the final results. If you get anywhere near 12-13 feet, as I'm sure quite a few will, and maybe even a little taller on some, an elbow a piece is definitely within reach. Hell, you'll may even pull more than that off a couple.
Just out of curiousity, what kind of strength are you feeding at?

I yielded like 120g of thin ass airy buds because my plants got fucked over when I couldn't visit them and i had to harvest her early to salvage what I could get off her before she died off, if I had of been with her she would of finished strong with close to 200 gs i think maybe more

Sativas are tough man. I had the same kind of results with my powerhaze. They were small and airy, but one things for sure, it didn't take much to get me to where I wanted to be. I yielded a little over 60g, but that lasted me almost 3 months.
The stuff I have right now is great - huge ass buds, the size of your fist, way bigger and impressive than what I grew, but I still fuckin miss the haze soo much. 
There's nothin like a 100% sativa I gotta say.

I didn't yield as much as i hoped from my sativas especially with my monster topped beast being ripped, but having my pure sativa to mix with my indicas is amazing, smooths out the harshness of the indica perfectly, i dont think i've ever smoked smoother bud than my pure sativa, and it got me soooo high to

Sativas are tough man. I had the same kind of results with my powerhaze. They were small and airy, but one things for sure, it didn't take much to get me to where I wanted to be. I yielded a little over 60g, but that lasted me almost 3 months.
The stuff I have right now is great - huge ass buds, the size of your fist, way bigger and impressive than what I grew, but I still fuckin miss the haze soo much.
There's nothin like a 100% sativa I gotta say.
ya my outdoor grow last year inverted and I were still heavy into heroin so I half-assed my shit alone, he had his GF and dope dident need me. left my 30 plants all in keg cups for like 90 days, then put them out in july anyway I got a few good plants, the rest were mad sativat that like had rough outlines of buds forming when the season was over and it was frosting, I had to cut them down for Hash. I got like 4 ounces from like 10 plants. it was soooooooooooooooooooooooooo gay. God heroin saps all your motivation.

Ok so I have been sexing the late starts outdoors, and so far of the ~22 seedlings, we have a count of 4 males and 8 females
I hope this ratio keeps up, and males generally show up first if the plants grow the exact same rate, but that doesn't always happen and some are a node or two behind and will probably need nearly a week to sex, but at least the 10 amazing pre-prepared plots can finally get plants in them, well at least 8/10 but I'm sure I will discover more fems in the next day or two.
Just figured I'd keep track, and let you guys know if you are interested. The only plant of the bunch with a solid purple stem is a female, I think it is one of my purple haze seeds
I'm excited for all the variety in strains I used this year...

The bud quality should be outstanding. My outdoor is always almost as good as my indoor, pending the season, but this year has been perfect.
Here's a little update, I figured you would appreciate the pictures. They have really started bushing out big time. The heights range from 3ft-7ft, but most are 4+ft tall, and nearly just as wide. The AK-48 (giant bush 2nd to last picture I think) is fucking huge, I can't wait to see it in another month when flowering starts.

I forgot to add that we put out 8 more today, they were only about a foot tall but still they have a month left of veg and can still pull 2 oz a piece for us so that's a little bonus, and I just transplanted 9 more seedlings that were left in seed trays for too long because of being busy with all the other plants, so they won't get too bit but could still give us an oz a piece, but they have yet to sex. I have 2 more females ready to go out, just ran out of prepared holes More fieldwork!

Okay well I finally made it out to see muh ladies! I don't know if you can really tell in the pictures but they have literally exploded in all directions. They are almost all nearly as wide as they are tall, but I didn't get pictures of the other plot as time was of concern. I'm too lazy to label each picture right now so if you are wondering which plant is which for a comparison from last update let me know and I'll clear it right up for ya'.

That is our best Aurora Indica and yes it's fucking huge. It's 5-6 feet tall and 4-5 feet wide. Going to be a nice yield on that one from the looks of it. My favorite plant is the clone of the Purple phenotype Bubba Kush x SS. It is picture 6 and 7. It's about six feet and bushy as fuck. By far more nodes and branches than any other plant.
Thanks FBD and Integra. I'm quite anxious to see how massive they become after the initial flower stretch...

It's been a while since I updated, and we have had nothing but prime growing weather
I *plan* to head out there today and feed, and maybe take some photos, I'm excited to see em' since flowering kicked in...

Yeaup it is. Ok here's the thing. We supercropped the living shit out of this plant. It's Master Kush x Hindu Kush and it DOES initiate flowering earlier than the rest, but after a heavy bout of training a month back, she decided (due to stress I would guess) that it was time to flower for 2 weeks, then reveg for a week, and now shes about 10 days in to flower again... Not very tall, it's our shortest plant of the 2 plots, but it's definitely got the closest nodes, and will yield very well if I'm not mistaken.

Haha I know man, I have trouble sleeping at night these days. No joke. Some are ~14 days in while others just began to stretch. I just have to stay up on the watering and nutes during these hot days. I'll have another update fairly soon since they are growing and flowering so quickly. There are multiple plants that are already sugary WTF?

Nah it's not the runt. We put out 10 late starters, just for the hell of it, and to give us even more variety to smoke on. That plant is Purple Haze x Chrystal, and it smells absolutely amazing as well as being the quickest flowering plant... Sometimes genetics hand you a dream. I so wish I could somehow reveg that plant or maybe take one of the lower budsites and try to clone it. I would LOVE to make it a mother plant The stem on it reminds me of DJ Shorts - Flo.

Some more pictures since I was able to access the sites in the daytime. Woot!
They were fed once again, it seems like every 5-6 days I have to give them heavy nutrients and it's STILL NOT ENOUGH. Ugh... We hit them with a massive dose of veg and bloom since they are steadily yellowing.
I'm sorry for being repetitive, I don't think you guys can see as much visual change as I can, seeing them in person; so I apologize if the pictures begin to bore you.

Alright cool that's what I wanted to know! You are right though, we blindly took our good friend to see a plot and he was basically speechless and didn't recognize any plants until they were only a few feet in front of him. They are hard to find unless you know exactly where they are, and even then they don't stand out.

Gracias DD, they really are... Other OD crops in the past wouldn't like to finish on time, and I usually had to harvest slightly early. This year we used proper strains and they kicked into flowering about a week sooner than previous crops so I am fairly confident that more than 95% of the ladies will fully mature this time, which is awesome, especially because they are more frosty at this stage than any of our previous indoor runs. I blame this mostly on great genetics combined with an epic growing season. Whatever the true cause, I am happy either way.
We have had 3-4 overcast cool days in a row, which has caused some purpling, but what is odd is that the buds still seem to be developing even without any sort of direct sunlight. I'm not complaining yet.

Looking really fantastic, guys! Getting more and more impressive every time I check this thread.
Do you hike all of your water in, or is there a source to fill up jugs once you get out there? About how many gallons of nutrient solution do you feed your bigger plants, and at what concentration of veg/bloom?

Water- Pre-mixed with nutrients and hauled 8 gallons at a time (4 per person), Hiked to the location.
Nutrients- We give our plants 1 gallon each of 3-4 Tablespoons/gal. (still not enough, cannot afford to buy a 3rd set for this grow...) of FloraNova per week. We are still running 1/4 veg, 3/4 bloom. I will begin supplementing with Fox Farms Cha Ching when I cut out the veg nutes after the next feeding (in approx. 3-4 days).
I hope that made sense and cleared up your questions, I enjoy answering them so if anyone else is curious about something, they should speak up!

What's the deal with this plant? No limbs?! Did the rats climb up and nibble them off to haul away? I think i remember that being the plant i nom'd a month or two ago that had the rogue purple leaf.

It's better in some cases. Just as with indoor bud it depends on the care and applied knowledge from the grower to achieve maximum results. The best hydro genetics grown indoors can be shit compared to decent genetics grown outdoors with someone who takes care of the plant the right way.

That G13 Haze x Mango that you nom'd was a single plant much further than any other plot, and we just saw it for the first time since I took that nom'd picture.... haha, it was still alive and well, but if we would have given it nutrients it would be a lot bigger and bushier. That plant in this set of pics is a Purple Haze x Chrystal plant and it was only thrown out a month ago, which is why it has no branches and only a central cola. It is very frosty and already bulking up well. Only expecting a sample from her.
