hey this might be a really simple fix...I'm in 5 gallon pots outdoors and when i picked them up to move them they were really heavy, poked my finger through the bottom drainage holes and it was really, really wet soil that seemed not to be draining correctly almost to a point were the roots of my girls would be impacted...any advice proper drainage techniques in pots would be greatly appreciated.
Transplant them into slightly larger containers, or a lot larger if that's what you want. And then before you put the plants into the new containers, place a layer of Hydroton, or river rock or something similar. This will help with making sure that the drain holes will not become plugged up with soil and impede drainage.
i would recommend putting your girls into containers at least 15 gallons if your doing and outdoor grow. You'll get way better yields.
