It is a nice lookin bud, but not 700 dollar nice! I just cant believe that anyone would think about buying seeds priced like that unless they were extremely extremely rare! Even then you would have to be a breeder or something. Not to mention why would any seed company be SOOO damned greedy?

shit, they were selling 20 beans on SB of some rezdog gear a few months ago for thousands. people bought that shit up - mostly drug dealers who have that kind of cash laying around (i suspect).

they were supposedly 'antique' strains from rez's personal collection. I remember there was a few williams wonder's and a few other neat sounding ones.

I've seen as high as 1900 for a pack of seeds. I forget the name of the company but we did a post on them here. Some strain called elephant bud or some crap like that.

There's a local bong shop that sells $300-500 packs of beans in paper envelopes and they have all sorts of bogus information on them one was like G13 x 40 yr old Skunk. I asked the guy if the Skunk dad was kept around for that long and he said the seeds were made 40 years ago and that the Skunk is the mother. I asked him if the seeds are 40 years old what are the germination rates like and he said they're perfect still because they were kept in a fridge.

The more informed people become, the less power these assholes will have.
I'm a huge proponent of the philosophy "overgrow the planet". I don't care if you're a pollen chucker, a meticulous breeder, or anyone in between, the value of this plant is most certainly not in its seeds, and people should recognize that.

That said, for those who respect it, and are actual breeders, I believe its fair to be paid for the work it takes to stabilize specific strain characteristics.

I'd pay an unheard of amount to a breeder that does something I want. I've found a couple that do me good at cost which is a fraction of what I'm willing to pay. I and my close friends who are in this "industry" don't have the same goals in mind to the average grower, there's not a lot of answers these days for someone interested in quality genetics that are still diverse enough to work with. Some people think this is some hippie bullshit but if you look in any real breeding your stock is everything and having the building blocks as far untouched as possible is gold.

Chimera and Mr. Nice for different reasons IMO are the current "future" of breeding. The amount of work Chimera does for a Canadian for what he charges he's a fucking saint, the guy has blessed many people in my life with something money can't buy. There's others I like but I'm not as comfortable selling them up.

I'm not talking up Mr.Nice anymore since Neville seems to do that and enjoys it over at their forums. He's also a very sharp tool.
