i used craigslist to find my first one that held 3 pint jars perfectly.  but i wasn't in a rural area.  then i mand the fuck up and got an AA930.  It's a fucking badass beast!  i tried to find a picture.  I thought i had uploaded one to the shroomery.  it was my pc full of horse shit.  it's a fun and sometimes messy and sometimes extremely clean hobby.  i enjoy it.

It's a pressure cooker. You load jars inside of it and pressure cook them on your stove top.

I know, but I also know there are electric pressure cookers.

I need an electric one because I don't have a stove.

Unless an electric Skillet would work.

Yeah, but I have no real alternative.

I don't trust anyone enough to go "hey can I use your stove to sterilize my substrate?"

There would be no way to use an oven for a couple hours at the place you are living at? Maybe when no one else is home?

That 23qt would suite your needs well. I used quart size jars and a 43 1/2qt.

usually wal mart's canning supplies are seasonal.  The wally world by me always runs out of jars and doesn't stock them til "canning season", luckily hobby lobby and harps both have good stock.
