Feed the Soil not the plant
    #406454 - 04/25/10 10:56 AM (13 years, 10 months ago)

i have a compost pile i started last year but it wont be ready till next year because i have a lot of straw and wood in it.about 60% of its mass is spent or moldy oyster and cubensis blocks.
i know a bit about compost i know we already want our compost to be diverse. but i was wondering if we could make a "balanced" compost specifically aimed for bud pants or plants that use the same chems/nutes/elements.
like if we add food/child vitiamins or other things that contain  Manganese, zinc  copper,Boron ,magnesium etc ...
also when we wet our composts can we just add nutes/chems right from the bottle?

For one, I don't think any self-respecting composter would add chemical fertilizers straight into their compost pile. Kind of defeats the purpose.

i guess i was high when i was thinking that. i wouldn't buy anything to add
but after a year of being broken down i dont see how it could do harm.
