this is not concerning the potsmokers who smoke a few days. this is for the druggies. i got a real question, as im starting to question my life.
how do you handle it?
my life has been going no where for the past 3 years. im very intelligent (although im sure my posts might have others thinking different). i dropped out when i was a junior. i just lost my badass job because i cant control my drug abuse, and now im delivering pizzas. thats a bitch job and i shouldnt be doing it. i just see all my friends going to college and doing something with there life and im not. sure, i make money flipping the trips. and sure i have cash on me and a nice car. but im going no where. i just cant control my drug cravings. i mean, i got 100 bars in, and once i ate the first one it was over, i ended up eating a 1/3 of them in 3 days. all those rolls i got, i could have sold them and made bank, but i just ate them and gave them away. i lost my girlfriend, the one i was going to marry because i cant stop eating bars.
all the people in my life just say 'slow down, and moderate'. but i cant. i have addiction in my family and i cant moderate. its always been all or nothing for me. i went to rehab for 9 months and the day i got out i got fucked up.
i just want experiences from those of you who do drugs like i do. how do you handle it? how do you make a decent life while still getting fucked up on the daily?
i dont want to give everything up, but i want a life that in 20 years i can look back and call successful.
so please, give me some advice. how do you do it? cuz i cant keep going like i am.
i know i fuck around a lot on here, but this is all real talk, and i would appreciate real responses. im at a low point and i dont know what i should do.

It sounds like you're asking, "How do I fuck my life up without fucking my life up?"
I suspect you know there isn't a simple answer. You have to decide whether "flipping the trips" is really what you want to do with your life, or if you've got higher aspirations. And if you do have goals, then you need to restrict your drug use in a manner consistent with achieving those goals.
You say you have an addictive personality and that it's all-or-nothing. If this is the case, you really need to stay away from benzos. Unless you know of any productive job/goal where being barred out of your skull isn't problematic.
Hard drugs can be used while leading a productive life, but it's never an easy balance. Usually the most successful hard drug for productive lives is amphetamine, but even then you need to moderate in order to minimize getting spun and crashing.

yeah for sure.
the only reason i fuck with them is i get them dirt cheap. and its like the white persons crack. when i get a 100 pack in, its gone in 4 hours. thats why its so hard to stay away from them.
but those people that are WAAYYYYY more fucked up, do they have any type of life what so ever?

but now that you can't change that, you can always try and use your drug addiction in YOUR favor.

I'd say you have to quit all the drugs and work hard to land the job you want.
Then see how you can fit that other stuff into your life.
It's all in what comes first.

Well man sorry to say but its a choice. You either have the love of your life, a real job, a successful future for yourself. Or you stay dedicated to doing drugs, nothing will get better, you'll be alone in the worst way, and you'll probably die alone or end up in jail alone.
Its either one or the other, not both. Like I was telling you before, your not past the point of no return, make the choice now or stay with what your doing. Its all up to you.

using addiction and self control in the same sentence is almost an oxymoron. Thats the point man, when you have a chemical dependency, your need for the drug physically not to mention mentally defeats your self control.
He's not a pussy and He's not a dumbass, he has a problem like I have and a shitload of other people around here have. Its a choice to be sober, once you make that choice you should probably seek a doctor. He'll be able to prescribe you medicine that will enable you to regain your self control.
In the right state of mind anyone can say no, in the state of mind an addict embodies, its not a question of deciding, the decision is made for you without any kind of reasoning

well, if you are going to be a drug addict and be successful you need to be addicted to a drug that you can still function on. This might not be a good one for everyone, but personally, opiates make me work well, and I can still think clearly on them...I just feel really really good while doing so. Thats the only advice I can really give if you want to continue using drugs and improving your life...get pods or something.
But your best option, would to quit drugs for a while, go back to school, learn a trade or something, get a decent job. Then if you are still having cravings, you will have the money to support your drug habit, as long as you can continue doing your job while addicted to droogz.

believe me when i say this i was once hooked on oxycontin for 2 years. i had dropped outta school and really didn't give a shit, but i got out of that rut got my GED and plan to go to college that shit was the hardest thing in my life to get over no one really helped me either i did it on my own cuz i burnt all my bridges but believe me when i say this you can get over it and turn yourself around for the better you jus have to do it on your own.
+ i did not go to rehab jus smoked a bunch of weed and weened myself off slowly!
