This will be my first firearms purchase. I'm ordering it most likely within the week, might even do a trip upstate to buy it. I enjoy doing target practicing and such. Also on my island, in the winter its so dead that we all get together at a friends house on the bay and shoot clay pigeons and such. Might get a really nice optic scope for it.

First off you said crime.  Murder rates do not equal crime rates.

Secondly that link says nothing about amount of guns.  Fail.

But you living in the middle of nowhere I think you should be fine.

Well I'm not saying I don't believe it either, but most people consider him weird for doing such.  If I didn't lose all my money and career to chasing the dragon then I would probably be strapped as well.  I'm trying to make a comeback but it's just not going anywhere yet... :grrr:

He's got a box w/ 10,000 rounds, lucky bastard.

That's a nice gun man.  It looks almost identical to the one my bro has (Taurus too).

His looks just a little bit longer than that one, like the regular 9mm size.  Yours looks just a little smaller, but I bet it is a nice gun.

My brother is weird, he thinks chaos is going to break loose soon so he has guns and a massive stock of ammo in case any shit goes down...

He has all kinds of illegal rounds, I wish I could go shooting w/ him sometime.  I might just get a little .22 handgun juuuuuust in case.

Yeah I was actually gonna get the 9mm, but they had a sale going on and for the same price I could get a .45. I went with the .45 needless to say :yesnod:

It's technically a compact handgun, but it's not as small as other ones I've seen. I really like the size of it. I held a Glock .357 sig today and I almost bought that, but the grip was just a TINY bit too small so I went and grabbed this and it was perfect. I told the salesman to go help other people while I thought about what I wanted to do. It was between like 3 guns and this is the one I went with.  Like I said, lifetime warranty, 2 mags, case, a mag loader. Keep it clean and run good ammo through it, I think I'll be fine.

Nice, why aren't you buying much more needed grow equipment....?

I bet you could have scooped up a digital 600w light setup for what you paid for that... I definitely wouldn't have even thought

Guns are a necessary evil.  I've never fired a firearm of any kind outside of a bb gun.  but I will get one and will get trained with it once i have a house, wife, kids to protect.  Right now im only responsible for myself so i can get by with a bat for protection.  im not a worrier or a warrior for that matter.

edit:
  second page recognition fail.  nice gun FBD!

Because I can't grow where I'm at and that probably won't change any time soon. I know it sounds lazy blah blah, but there are very unique circumstances to my situation right now and they won't change for a while, god willing.

Yeah, it definitely does look good. Those fuckers are very expensive too. I looked at pretty much everything when I went in the gun shop man. You wouldn't believe some of the ugly ass shit they sell in there for like 600-700 bucks. I mean performance is definitely more important, but why the fuck do companies make guns that ugly?

First time I shot a 45 I literally went deaf for the rest of the weekend.
My first gun was a Taurus.

Happy Birthday Tripp. I've seen it, don't really know much about it though. My .45 isn't loud, but then again, I had eyes and ears on so I couldn't really tell anyway. I know there was a guy shooting a .44 magnum in there and that shit was LOUD even with ears on.

Yeah the place I bought the gun is like 3 stories tall. Buy your shit on the 1st floor, get your ammo on the 2nd floor, and there's a shooting range on the 3rd floor. In order to shoot at the range you either have to have your own eyes and ears or rent them from there for like 2 bucks or something. I might just get my own eventually so if friends I have out in the country aren't around to let me shoot at their house, I can go to the range and pay the minimum.
