Don't worry SO MUCH!!!
You won't get busted unless you've given them a reason.
Myself, I don't do anything suspicious and just act like it's not there, and nobody, even the neighbors or sheriff (He's been to, and in my house 3 times just this year, and since I talk to him like every other citizen he actually thinks i'm a good citizen!) have ANY clue. 
Don't walk outside or in window view with pots or plants or anything indoor cultivation related and you'll be fine. That and make sure no HID light is leaking out anywhere, which should have been done FIRST.
Don't be so sketched out, you don't have a reason to. I used to get paranoid everytime the sheriff drove by, but that faded, and now I just act like I don't even have a grow. Simple as that.

I get paranoid when I'm smoking sometime but haven't grown/been growing any plants for a while so my situation isn't as bad as yours. If you don't mind me asking, how many plants are you growing?

my 1st indoor grow I was super paranoid and saw odd things happen. like when they were close to havest and I just happened to look outside and this see this car stopped really fast right in front of my house. The area of where the room was and a heat signal would be resonating. It was cold out and getting dark so it would be the best time to get infrared pics. It drove off in about 5 sec but then came back and did the same thing once more. I was like oh shit its a PI.
The next time was at like 4am and I was in my bedroom and saw a flash of light cross my window. I looked and it was a spotlight scanning my house. I went outside in my pj's and heard," is this so & so address?" I was like yes it is. Then they threw the local paper. HAHA
The final incident was my 3rd and final indoor (for this reason). I had just woken up for unknown reasons at around 330am. I was about to eat some cereal but heard a chopper far from a distance. It got louder so I peaked out the back door and the house started to rumble from how close it was. My entire back yard was illuminated by the flashing of the choppers lights. I went into a half awake panic and walk out from the deck to see the damn thing passing over my house about 50ft above! The weirdest thing was when it traveling away from my area this dim scanner light from the underside turned off and it speed up into the distance.
