He's better than The Black Keys IMO but ya they sound a lot alike. He tossed his CD up on stage at a black keys concert and Dan Auerbach liked it so much he got ahold of my buddy and let him use his studio to record the album. Now he is under Alive records, which is The Black Keys record label.

werd cool...here it goes...bear in mind Mayhem (nor)88-93 is my favorite band
anyway ive put this band together like 7-8 years ago something like that, we play metal...
last christmas we're playing a gig at a local pub. the gig was very special to us the the owner let us set up her whole shit to our spex, incense, chains, impaled pork carcii, blood the works...we play the gig we were kinda dissapointed cuz the band that was playing with us got so drunk and they played a terrible set. people started to leave (which was part of the plan) cuz the environment was a bit much to handle for these townsfolk. and i took some of that legal LSD bullshit which is jus HBWR, so to shorten this i tell my drummer "listen man im tired im comin up kinda im gonna get laid and ride this out" so we decide to leave our gear and pick it up the next day.
the next morning we show up to the pub and start packing our gear in...cleaning some of the blood etc. when i see this lady coming into the pub we're exiting with all our gear (mind you the pub is really closed its only open for us to vacate our shit)...but we know the pub owner and she seemed like a nice lady so we had her a drink served and we start talkin...turns out shes married to the lead singer of Mayhem and she was jus in the area droppin her kids off to play airsoft. small werld we get to talkin about the past and how it was with mayhem etc- then she invites us over to their home, to fuckin have a picnic (get that a fuckin black metal picnic)..turns out these people live like 2km from our rehearsal space... dude wants to work with band but we're too big of elitests, and wont werk with him cuz we dont like new mayhem...
id still be down but my drummer (we're a 2 piece) aint feelin it...DIY till the day we die i guess...
i hate to say this too but i think there was a poolboy situation brewing there too.. if u kno wut i mean. i mean she asked us over while he was on tour...sshh
but yea real irrelevant
