The officer used extremely excessive force that resulted in the substantial personal injury of __________.

Ya thats what they would say in fact....its the cops they suck. I had the EMTs come to the booking place and look at my finger and they said I should have it looked at but I didnt have any money. So they told me they were like 100% sure it was broken cuz it angles. So now I dont know what to do. I dont have any money and finger injuries are a bitch. Plus I cant tie my shoes lol.

his GF could be a witness. Maybe there was a surveillance camera shooting it. Or the cruiser video. If it was obvious that it was broken during the interaction with the police officer i'd talk to a lawyer. just a thought. that's shitty though. Why did you pick up this insulation? What's considered public intoxication? Just saying something unreasonable could be construed as public intoxication i would think. I think people should be as drunk or as high as they want in public so long as they aren't fucking with people or disrupting the peace and flow. where you being obnoxious in any way? do you have an emo haircut?

You should go back to the police department today and file and excessive force complaint against the officer who arrested you. You must do this as fast as possible for it to look right in court. You may be lucky enough to get the charges dropped.

I think you need to definatly push the issue of the broken finger! And whether or not you have money for treatment is not part of the equation in this case. Go get it fixed! Hospital can not turn you down for treatment and since the police were at fault you would hopefully not have to pay what ever charges you incur. Go file the complaint directly after the visit to the E.R. with doctor's diagnosis in hand. When you go to court you will be appointed a free lawyer if you can not afford one. These free lawyers are typically not going to do much for you unless they are pushed by you to pursue.
