 Woodlawn man charged with stealing marijuana at gunpoint

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A Woodlawn man was arrested Wednesday on charges he stole marijuana from a man at a Lou Anne Lane home.
Clarksville Police arrested Michael James Blais, 29, when he was identified by the victim, who knew Blais only by his first name, as the assailant in the Jan. 20 holdup.
The victim alleged that Blais contacted him at his home about obtaining illegal drugs.
According to an affidavit by Detective Kevin Shaw, the victim said Blais showed up unannounced at the home with an associate and was allowed inside.
When the victim went to a bedroom to retrieve some marijuana, he heard someone behind him and saw Blais brandishing a handgun, the report says. Blais then demanded the victim give him all the drugs. When the complainant refused, a fight began and Blais struck the complainant in the head, causing a laceration over the left eye.
Blais and his associate took the marijuana and fled, the affidavit says.
Blais, who gave a 2981 Lake Road address, was charged with aggravated robbery and booked into Montgomery County Jail. Bond was set at $25,000.
