Yet another attempt at outdoor
    #540403 - 03/26/11 02:47 PM (13 years, 6 days ago)

Last year, my efforts were thwarted by rabbits. This year, I wont let them win.

Strain is White Rhino, might pick up clones later.

Will germinate 10 WR seeds.

The region is southern ontario
The area I plan on using is a but swampy. There are dry parts throughout, and groups of rocks that are decently above water. The area gets great sunshine.

I plant on using 5 gallon burlap bags, but im not sure on the soil yet. I plan on feeding it with water, and its not a problem to get to the site once or twice a week. Would it be ideal to use 30 percent perlite for drainage, as its in a swamp and is likely to retain water?

I plan on using humboldt Nutes, premium 2 part.If there are others you would recommend using, im all ears.. I have two unopened bottles of organicide for pests.

I will make a fishing line fence around the groupings of plants to keep deer away. i also have much dog and human hair that I can put in socks and affix to nearby trees. LEOs arent a concern.

Another thing is, If I started them indoors on april 1st and put them outside early may, when could I expect flowering to begin and harvest?

I do rasied bags in swampy areas. You get the large round burlap bags and bury them 3/4 from the top. If you hit nasty sulfric swamp water move further away when digging the holes. you dont want more then 4 inches of ground water at the bottom of the bags. I use 30 gallon burlap if I remember right.

Just started germination. I plan on moving them outside the first week or two of may.

Will the 6500k 30 watt CFL for my shroom terrarium be sufficient to keep them going until then?

Please keep hooks off your fishing line fence. Hate to hear about a innocent hiker/hunter/fisherman getting severely injured.  For deer their are many more natural methods.  If you feel your deer are too accustomed to those methods use wire that is thick and dark. That way it stands out from the ground not the air. Fishing line reflects light and can be seen by the air and fishing line alone can seriously hurt somebody that isn't paying attention including yourself. How much time do they need to be under the cfl before moved?  I wouldn't go longer then 3 days or you will severly weaken the plant reducing your odds of success.

I would never put hooks on it. That would be insane. I just have a heavy deer population, and it seemed like a good idea.

Deer will walk right through 15lb or less. At least in my experience unless it was a larger animal. I was just assumeing 40lb plus that way they know when they bump into it. You slip and fall on taught 40lb line it can give you a nasty cut on bare skin or worse running into it. I have just had bad experiences diving and getting tangled, cut my ankle to the bone and it was light line. Luckily no hooks and I had my dive knife handy.
