Strips are fine.

I use drops by GH and their up and down to adjust the ph.

I also prefer running my ph around 5.8 to 6.2 in hydro.

No, you alter the pH by adding pH UP, or pH down.  Drops and strips are okay and will get you bye, but nothing beats a digital reader.  Way more accurate.

I've used baking soda as pH up.  Seemed to work all right.  Lemon juice and vinegar are also acceptable.  But I prefer bottled pH up and down more precise, more consistent.

MG suck in hydro and in growing weed in my opinion.

Have used it years ago.

Then I grew up and use proper nutes.

Using mg to adjust ph sounds a bit retarded being that going to raise the ppm a lot.
