okay so i just bought this led grow light its 90w all together but only half of it works when i plug it in i thought it might need some time to warm up, so i left it there for 20Min's nothing happened.
I opened it up to see what the hell was going on looks like one of the fuses is blown on the circuit board for half of the 90 leds, so i only got 45 working.
does any body know what type of fuse i need or where to get it? im pretty technical guy id be able to fix it but dont have a clue where to get one of these fuses at. im going to take it out and bring it to a couple stores around here see if they can match it up.
This will be the last time i buy used lights again! no hanging brackets half of it works, i wonder what else awaits me on this light!ha ha
well i was able to fix it and its 100% fine now. just put 3 beans in a wet cloth in a can at 60-70degrees. will be making a grow log to show the results of what these lights are capable of.
im not sure if they give off lumen's or not? i think its called UVB or something id have to do some research, but they said it equivalent to a 400-600watt hps, lets definitely compare results!
theres tone of stuff on the web, look on youtube they have compaired it to all kinds of lights. not sure though thats why im experimenting with it ive been keepin up to date with a thread on here that is using a LED grow light as well, they are having great success with it.
I just think its a new age technology that will catch on eventually, kinda like CFL's and t5 and MH and so on and so on. just another light that CAN be used to grow plants.

lumens is short for luminous flux, and ALL visible light can be measured in lumens. saying it doesn't put out lumens is like saying that your height can't be measured in feet
also, UVB is a wavelength of light, or a color just like green and blue. but UVB is such a short wavelength that it's completely invisible to our eyes. if the light put out UVB you wouldn't even be able to tell when it's on, except for all the cancer it would give you
A 90W LED grow light puts out around 4000 lumens of red-blue light
If the wavelength's of the red and blue LED's are very close to the wavelengths of maximum chlorophyll activity, you can multiply the luminous flux rating by 10 to get the equivalent output in terms of HID lighting.
Most LED units do not give off any UVB radiation, which can be detrimental to the final THC content of the plants, though this statement is debatable, and I have grown some stellar bud off of LED with a very low wattage CFL.
Which brings me to my next point, one of the drawbacks of LED's is that most of the time, they only have red, blue, and sometimes orange LED's. Most plants rely on varying ratios of red light and far red light for light-moderated processes. As such, I believe it very beneficial to run a small, low wattage CFL in an all LED grow tent. If you would like you can run higher wattage CFL's, or toss in an HID, makes no difference as long as a CFL is in the tent. Note that this is for flowering only, vegetative does not matter, and a higher ratio of red light to far red light actually helps keep the plant in a vegetative state. This CFL can also aid the plant in that CFL's give off a little UVB, which may or may not help with final THC content.
Hope this is helpful, agmotes165

very helpfull, i kinda just wanted to try something new. grown with CFL's before but you need way to many to grow dense buds. and a HID would bring up the power cost to much and theres the heat issue as well. Plus if all else fails and doesnt get me decent buds, it puts out a trippy ass colour that can light my room.lol But following your grow log agmotes165 i think this will really do the trick. by the way they are looking fabulous!
