so I had two plants going this season, theve been havested now because it was getting too cold out to keep them down but off both plants i only got a few buds and they were quite small this is only my 3rd grow and only my second outside but i cant figure out why the buds took so long into the season to start to grow, even all the other people i know who grew this summer had huge buds. im thinking maybe it has to do with the quality of soil or nutriants or something any ideas how i can solve this for next year?
Could be many things. Next year, if you grow outside, dig a hole/holes where you will be planting and fill them with good soil. Also make sure that the area has the maximum exposure to sun as it possibly can for as many hours a day as is possible. Finally, the problem may have been that you planted a sativa dominant strain that naturally would take 10-16 weeds to fully flower. Indica dominant strains are the way to go if you have a short growing season.

thats what i was thinking aswell im thiking of using big buckets next year with the best soil i can buy or make and make a better tent too. i had a tent with this grow and it definately did an awesome job at keeping rabbits out and heat in.
