Yeah man if youre looking for a copy of an OS and you dont have the disc. Your best option is to either:
A) Go buy a copy
or
B) Download Utorrent and browse torrent sites such as thepiratebay or ISOHunt.
However if you choose option B, be warned of Viruses and corrupt materials.

actually im attempting to bring a computer back from death for my grandmother. just tryin to figure out the best way to go about it. she only needs it for games on pogo so i just gotta get the basics. not tryin to buy a copy if i dont have to. how much would it be from the store new anyway?

Actually the retailers do not sell windows XP at all. If you have a computer builder friend then he would have a copy. If not and you need to buy a copy its Windows Vista or nothing, lol. Thats if you want windows.
