Let's say that one is running a small but profitable grow room. They are vegetating with 400 watts and budding with 1000-3000 watts. Their electric bill is pushing $250. That is getting to the level where it looks suspicious.
Wouldn't it be cool if somebody manufactured a small natural gas generator? It would be small, quiet, and pump out a kilowatt or two. You could shove it in a corner in your basement and nobody would ever know it was there. Most of the generators I see are big, loud, and produce at least six kilowatts. This little device would get your electric bill down to $175 probably (but of course your gas bill would rise).
solar....you can get the gub-ment to help pay for it here in america...dont know about elsewhere.
if you have a bit of land with a stream on it...microhydro is fast becoming an affordable option...and is pretty constant if you have a steady stream flow. solar power output can be smoothed out a little with a battery bank.
I will have this in my house eventually
