how much to let coco dry out after transplanting from soil cup to coco 3gal?
    #567863 - 06/27/11 06:57 PM (13 years, 4 months ago)

hey everyone, i have been doing quite a bit of searching and cant find the answer this this, but I have a 3 gal coco hempy bucket and just transplanted a small clone from a cup of soil.

Should i let the coco dry out until the  pot is light like soil to let the roots run or does it need to stay moist?

I am in my first coco grow.  But from all the research I've done people suggest to let it dry out a bit to allow the roots to spread and establish.  You could dig your finger down the side and feel.  So far my plants don't mind it damp. I never let em get dry though.

I just transplanted a mom to 5 gallon coco from 2 gallon and the 5 is fine with water every 4-5 days or so.  Id imagine 3 gallons wouldnt be far off..  3 days  4 perhaps.
