I'm sure the mods have to deliberate on who is worthy of a T.C. Tag.
I am pretty stoked to see who gets one.

A few people have been designated with the tag, and I'm sure many deserving people have not yet. There won't be any spectacle about who gets one or who gets one taken away. Our cultivation mods and myself will simply give it to members who consistently share reliable cultivation information in our community. Since RR already said it well over at our sister site, I'll just re-post some choice words of his here:

Mods already have a tag, and I believe we can only have one.
The people that have cultivator tags will be regular members I think.

I personally don't like the tags.
I always thought that was the job of the Moderator. To keep balance but mainly to provide answers such as a trusted cultivator.
And of course to be there to make pity posts that no-one responds too =)
On the shroomery it works great because of the boom of users I've noticed in the past 8 years that I have been a member.
Since mods give them out they are kind of like sheriffs deputizing a few trusted certain people.
Point being is the place is too small for them right now. Maybe if this place gets to be the size of the shroomery.

It will...Might as well implement them now because users come and go....
Eventually this site will get bigger....Its getting there slowly with more grow journals etc.

Partial either way.
I thought they where a good idea when introduced to the shroomery just because of the mere size. I think they are just silly here.
I just did the math and the shroomery is 23.8 times the size of this place.
I don't know the % of trusted cultivators on each site but relative to the size they probably have the same.
I'm really high and just want to argue damnit!
2 exams tomorrow and I'm frustrated.

you should go study. Yeah i remember when they were activated at shroomery. It was great! I bet you we have given out less tags here than the shroomery, per capita. but that's a guess. It's mainly the cannabis cult mods who have it now, plus maybe 4 to 6 active members. I still think it's a good idea here too. For a brand new person (and not a shroomery transplant like both of us) they would see the tag and know they can trust their opinion. I dont know of any other cannabis cultivation board that has this kind of thing implemented. I think it will help attract new members to that extent.

I agree with the above 2 posts. I feel like I've posted my balls off, often answering the same question dozens of times. so I say thank you!
I also think it helps someone take advice more concretely. It's hard to trust someone's opinion who you know nothing about, and that gives them the comfort to ask someone with the tag, or even PM them. I really think it will help attract more people. Just like with the Mood Option, these things were not found anywhere else on the net really, that's what attracted me to this place in the beginning.
